Douglas Roark - President
Doug Roark is the current President of DFWTRN, and the Managing Director for Staff Perm, an award-winning agency with a focus on Information Technology and Financial Staffing Services. Doug’s career for the past 20 years, has been focused on the employment solutions market, with responsibility for talent generation and operational management. In addition to being the current President of DFWTRN, Doug previously served on the Board of Directors for 10 years, holding several roles to include: Vice President, Social Media Director and Recruiting Team of the Year Committee Board Director. Doug is passionate about networking, sharing best practices, new ideas and strategy with Recruiting, Talent Acquisition and Human Resource professionals.
David Jaramillo -Vice President
Jim Brown - Treasurer
Jim received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Abilene Christian University and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been a member of DFWTRN since 2000 and has been on the board since 2007. Jim is very active in the community and also provides counseling for families and children in need. Jim strives to develop his staff while encouraging meaningful relationships with all those that work with him.
Sara Stoub - Secretary
Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Biology from Texas Tech University. Immediately after graduation, she began her recruiting career with one of the largest privately-held staffing agencies in the United States. Sara went on to become a Field Recruiter for one of the largest beverage manufacturing and distribution companies in the world, where she specialized in non-exempt recruitment for multiple Market Units in Memphis/Little Rock, West Texas and, most recently, Dallas/Fort Worth. Currently, Sara is a Recruiter at High Profile Staffing, and specializes in Human Resources placements. In addition to 10 years of experience, Sara has also obtained her CIR (Certified Internet Recruiter) certification.
Gail Houston - Education Director
Gail is a graduate of Texas A&M and is currently a Senior Product Management Recruiter at Intuit and the manager of the University Sourcing Team. She has run Intuit’s Social Media Program in the past and was the voice of Intuit Careers on sites like Twitter and Facebook. She has more than 20 years in the recruiting industry, both corporate and agency. She has spoken at SourceCon, Recruiting Trends and TalentNet. She is the co-lead of the Stonebriar Career Transition Workshop and speaks are various applicant networking groups in the DFW area. She has received numerous awards during her career including Intuit Leaderboard – 2013-2017, Circle of Stars 2008, Trim the Sails 2007, DFWTRN/Monster Recruiter of the Year 2003, EDS Senior Recruiter Award and the Figment Award for Creativity in Sourcing. In addition, Gail served as the VP of the DFW TRN for over 8 years and was the President of the SWHT Recruiter Coop for 4 years.
Jim Schnyder - Education Director
Jim is a DFWTRN Board member with over twenty years of recruiting experience. He has worked on both the agency and corporate side of the business for such companies as PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, Management Recruiters and Perot Systems. Jim is the Founder/Principal Consultant for “Recruiting Advisors,” a strategic consulting firm providing training and technology best practices to the sourcing and recruiting industry. Jim is also the 2007 DFWTRN Corporate Recruiter of the Year.
Heather Matthews - Membership Director
Heather has over 15 years in the recruiting and staffing experience in both the agency and corporate setting. She has handled professional level recruitment across commercial, military, supply chain and IT operations and is considered an authority and consultant in her field. Heather has recruited on all levels from warehouse to C-level. She believes the recruiting field is about relationship building and giving back to her network. Originally from Arkansas she attended the University of Central Arkansas and studied Speech/Mass Communication with a Minor in Journalism. She has been recruiting in the DFW market for over 10 Years. Her personal goal is to make people understand the importance of good recruiting and help clean up the name of the industry that has been marred by bad recruiters. As a DFWTRN Board member she continually supports the advancement, training and education for our members.
Amanda Thompson - Sponsorship Director
Amanda has over 12 years of experience in the recruitment marketing space. Amanda attended Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches TX and then completed her B.A. is Psychology from St. Edward’s University in Austin TX. She spent almost 7 years at Monster.com prior to accepting her current role as VP of Client Strategy at Bayard Advertising in 2012. Since joining Bayard, Amanda has closely partnered with some of the largest employers in the country, and she truly loves the ability to create custom recruitment solutions for clients using pay per performance methods, programmatic buying for job aggregators/job boards, custom ad networks, social media, video, SEO/SEM, landing pages, career site design, mobile ads, and lots more. Amanda also volunteers for the Do Good Endeavor, an organization that strives to uncover the many facets that cause homelessness.
Travis Russell - Treasurer Assistant
Travis is a Technical Recruiter at r2 Technologies, Inc. in Plano, TX and is the DFWTRN Treasurer Assistant. Travis loves to volunteer and assist luncheon registrations and DFWTRN Happy Hours! He received his Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas
Alishaa Chhabra - Marketing Director
Alishaa is DFWTRN’s Marketing Director and is also co-founder & CEO at Snipebridge. She has over 15 years of experience in HR and talent management. She has a strong background in talent acquisition strategy, operations & process excellence. She has worked with global services companies and understands how resourcing issues impact business and the challenges faced by hiring teams. This hands-on familiarity has helped her implement powerful talent strategies to meet & exceed customer hiring needs.

Michael takes Recruiting and Talent Management to the Next Level for Organizations. He is a 25-year veteran and subject matter expert in Talent Acquisition strategies. A former corporate talent acquisition leader himself, Michael shakes up ordinary recruiting for start-up organizations to $1B national organizations such as Insight, Freeman, American Heart Association, and the University of Texas Health System. Three years ago, he started MM Goldberg & Associates to focus his passion in transforming recruiting professionals, at all levels, into high performing superheroes.
