There’s no question that social media is changing the way business works -- and the trend goes well beyond marketing. Savvy companies are looking to social media trends to assist with their recruiting and hiring. With new methods come new problems.
Social media law is constantly evolving. This presentation will identify these legal issues, look at recent guidelines from government agencies, and propose ways to avoid the legal pitfalls when using social media for recruiting. In addition, updated information will be given as how to legally use background checks.
John Hagan is President-Elect of DallasHR for 2012, and will be President in 2013. He has his own HR law firm, and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law. He is also rated by his peers to be in the top 5% of all lawyers in Texas.
